ROAD KING HOLYHEAD (Exit junction 2 off the A55)
Roadking started with the infamous Hollies, or Greasy Lil’s if you remember that far back, the oldest Truckstop in the UK (the original cottage was built in 1894). Road King expanded their operation in 2015 with their new Holyhead truckstop. Holyhead has been a temporary refuge to many thousands of truckers over its lifetime and continues to serve as the go to truckstop for many drivers. just 1 mile from Holyhead port, North Wales it is the perfect location for truckers to rest up before their drive.
As you enter Holyhead you will find plenty of parking for all commercial vehicles including abnormal and heavy loads, trailers and specific areas allocated for refrigerated trailer parking. Parking is free for the first two hours, plenty of time if you are passing through or meeting up before or after travelling, then fixed charging applies thereafter for up to 24 hours parking. The parking area is secure with the benefit of 24 hours recording CCTV, ANPR, security patrol personnel & security perimeter fence.
Once you step inside Holyhead you’ll arrive at the drivers lounge where you can get on the free WiFi, put your feet up and watch the TV or have a game of pool. You can also enjoy the 24hr bar serving a selection of draught beers. Aware of the long hours drivers spend on the road, Holyhead prides itself in creating a warm and friendly environment for truckers to relax.
